The ethos of Sunflower Montessori and our staff is that each child is treated individually, each child is to be encouraged so that they can reach their full potential.  In the prepared environment children learn about being independent, this is very much encouraged, but they also develop their concentration, intelligence, self esteem, language, social skills and confidence.

Sunflower Montessori was set up by sisters, Sharon and Michelle Kelly.  We aim to offer a fun, secure, loving, happy, safe environment for children to learn, explore and develop at their own pace.

Sunflower Montessori is a school in which all children are equally treated, respected and valued.  Along with the montessori materials we will also do some of our learning in the outdoors.  We have a large, safe and secure garden for the children, a play area and also an area that we can do some of our classes.  We have a vegetable patch where children can sow seeds, watch them grow and hopefully take some veggies home!

Our goal is for all children to be given the opportunity to reach their full potential and we hope that they leave Sunflower Montessori with a lifelong love for learning.
